Forklift Steering Valve

Forklift Steering Valve - Valves assist to control the flow of a fluids such as liquids, slurries, fluidized gases or regular gases by closing, partially obstructing or even by opening particular passageways. Typical valves are pipe fittings but are discussed as a separate category. In cases where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.

Valves are utilized in many applications like industrial, residential, transport, commercial and military trades. Some of the main trades which depend on valves include the chemical manufacturing, power generation, water reticulation, sewerage, oil and gas sector and mining.

Most valves being used in day to day activities are plumbing valves, which are used in taps for tap water. Several popular valves consist of those fitted to washing machines and dishwashers, gas control valves on cookers, valves within car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins in the human body act as valves and control the blood flow. Heart valves even regulate the circulation of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the right pumping action.

Valves can be used and operated in various ways that they can be worked by a lever, a handle or a pedal. Moreover, valves can be driven automatically or by changes in flow, temperature or pressure. These changes may act upon a piston or a diaphragm which in turn activates the valve. Various popular examples of this type of valve are found on safety valves or boilers fitted to hot water systems.

Valves are used in lots of complex control systems that may need an automatic control that is based on external input. Controlling the flow through the pipe to a changing set point is an example. These situations usually need an actuator. An actuator would stroke the valve depending on its set-up and input, allowing the valve to be positioned accurately while enabling control over various requirements.
